This article examines the evolution and characteristics of China's green economy over the past 40 years. In addition, the main sector policies in finance, environmental industry, energy, forestry, urbanization and industrial production were analyzed by sector. Consequences of environmental pollution and climate change caused by China's rapid industrialization, transition to a green economy by adopting new technologies and new sustainable economic measures and the possibility of setting this transition as an example to other countries were considered.
