Abstract

The scientific article analyzes one of today's urgent problems, that is, the reasons for the increase in inflation in the world economy. From the results of the analysis, we can see that if the influence of non-monetary factors on inflation is high, it creates a number of obstacles in the successful transition to inflation targeting. Also, although today's political and military conflicts are mainly cited as the reason for the increase in inflation in the world economy, especially in the US economy, we can also cite the increased fiscal expansion and the large amount of money issued by the Federal Reserve System in order to mitigate the effects of the pandemic in the US economy and restore aggregate demand in the economy.
