Abstract
This article analyzes country risks and their determinants, in particular: the position and diversification of the country in the economic cycle, from the point of view of the political situation in the country and the state of legislation. The risk of the country's external debts and sovereign defaults has not been analyzed. The article examines the factors that need to be considered when investing in a particular country, as well as the risks that need to be calculated, and provides the necessary data sources for analysis. Global indicators reflecting country risks, as well as methods for calculating them, were studied and summarized. The disadvantages of these main indicators are also given. The article uses theoretical (analysis and synthesis) and mathematical research methods.
